Once again, the May Festivities in Honour of the Santísimo Cristo del Socorro are here and, as every year, we will celebrate the Fiesta del Guiso del Toro on 11 May.

This year, as in previous editions, prior registration will be ESSENTIAL in order to take part in the stew preparation. This year marks the start of a new stage, with registration available through our new Events website.

Registration will be open from 4 May at 8:00 a.m. until 8 April.

There are two registration options:

Participation with a kit provided by the Town Council. Up to 10 complete kits available.

For those taking part with a Town Council kit, a kit will be assigned at the time of registration and handed over on the day the stew is prepared. It will include:

1 large cooking pot
1 trivet
1 set of long ladles
1 set of aprons
1 set of kitchen cloths
1 ingredient kit for the stew

Participation with personal equipment. Up to 4 ingredient kits for the stew available.

For those taking part with their own equipment, the Town Council will provide 1 ingredient kit on the day the stew is prepared. Food products only.

Prior registration is ESSENTIAL in order to take part in the Guiso del Toro, as NO materials will be handed out on the Day of the Toro to anyone who has not registered, due to the limited number of kits available. Kits will be allocated strictly in order of registration, while stocks last. Applicants who have been penalised due to incidents from the previous year will be placed on a waiting list and will only be able to receive a kit if any remain available.
