Music, open-air cinema and the town’s outstanding historic heritage once again take centre stage in a programme designed to make the most of warm summer evenings in some of Nuevo Baztán’s most iconic settings.

Throughout July, the Historic Quarter will host concerts, open-air film screenings and two exceptional performances as part of the Clásicos en Verano (Classics in Summer) festival, organised by the Community of Madrid in collaboration with Nuevo Baztán Town Council.

Classics in Summer

The programme opens on Friday, 3 July, at 8:30 pm in the courtyard of the Juan de Goyeneche Palace, where Atlántida Chamber Soloists will perform The Soul of the Clarinet: Mozart and Brahms, featuring two masterpieces of the chamber music repertoire for clarinet and strings.

The second concert takes place on Friday, 17 July, at 8:00 pm in the Church of San Francisco Javier. Renowned harpsichordist Silvia Márquez Chulilla will present Chaconnerie, a fascinating musical journey through some of the most celebrated works written for the harpsichord, from the Renaissance to the present day.

Summer Cinema Under the Stars

Friday evenings continue with the popular Summer Cinema programme in Plaza de Fiestas, with screenings beginning at 10:00 pm.

• 17 July: Superman
• 24 July: One Battle After Another

A perfect opportunity to enjoy great films with family and friends in a unique open-air setting.

Live Music on Saturdays

Every Saturday evening, Plaza de Fiestas will come alive with free live concerts from 10:00 pm until midnight.

Concert programme:

• 11 July: Luchana Rock Band, performing timeless rock classics.
• 18 July: Oración, with a spectacular tribute to the legendary Spanish rock band Héroes del Silencio.
• 25 July: Darwin, a local favourite returning to Nuevo Baztán with an evening of popular hits and outstanding live music.

Admission to all concerts is free, subject to venue capacity. For everyone’s safety, glass bottles are not permitted inside the concert area.

With this programme, Nuevo Baztán Town Council once again reaffirms its commitment to providing high-quality, free cultural events for all audiences, making the most of the exceptional surroundings of its Historic Quarter to create unforgettable summer evenings.
