On Saturday, Museum Day is celebrated in the Community of Madrid

The museums of the Community of Madrid will celebrate this coming Saturday, 17 May, “Museum Day and Night” with a wide programme and proposals for all audiences. In Nuevo Baztán we will have two activities linked to this day.
- Concert “Flowers of music. Suites and sonatas”
A journey through 18th-century music that complements the exhibition “Echoes of the Baroque. The soundtrack of Goyeneche’s Madrid”, which can be visited in the Palace rooms. It will be performed by “Ars Combinatoria” on Saturday 17 May at 12:30 p.m. in the Church of San Francisco Javier. This ensemble is made up of:
- Elsa Ferrer, violin
- Lerlys Morales, theorbo
- Sonia García, cello
- Canco López, harpsichord and director
- Workshop and demonstration “Masters of the Royal Factory of La Granja in Nuevo Baztán”
A unique opportunity to see the blown-glass technique up close, led by today’s masters who keep this ancient craft alive. Saturday 17 May at 9:00 p.m. near the squares of the Historic Complex: Plaza del Secreto and Plaza de la Iglesia. Masters from the Royal Glass Factory of La Granja will travel to our town.
These activities are organised by the Regional Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport; the Directorate-General for Culture and Creative Industries; the Subdirectorate-General for Fine Arts; and the Nuevo Baztán Interpretation Centre. The Nuevo Baztán Town Council and the Royal Glass Factory of La Granja collaborate.
