Our municipality was represented at the “Sustainable Tourism Congress & Tourism Innovation Lab” held in Canet d’en Berenguer. There, Nuevo Baztán took part in the panel on “New tourism experiences”.

There we shared our distinctive tourism development model, based on activating cultural heritage, sustainability, innovation and a coherent territorial strategy. Nuevo Baztán not only seeks to diversify the offer, but also to reduce seasonality in demand and strengthen territorial cohesion with the municipalities of our region. The Town Council’s vision is for purposeful, collaborative and shared tourism.

Nuevo Baztán Town Council has begun implementing its Tourism Sustainability Plan for the Destination, a comprehensive strategy funded 100% by European Next Generation EU funds, within Spain’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR). Developed in collaboration with the Community of Madrid and the State Secretariat for Tourism, this plan aligns with Spain’s Sustainable Tourism Strategy 2030 and the Community of Madrid’s Tourism Strategy. Total investment: €2 million.
