The Nuevo Baztán Interpretation Centre will host a Traditional Esparto Grass Spinning Workshop, a free activity for all audiences offering a close-up look at this traditional craft.

The workshop will take place on Sunday, 12 April and Sunday, 17 May 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Interpretation Centre, located at C/ del Arco, 1.

This activity will introduce participants to a technique linked to the intangible cultural heritage of the Region of Madrid. During the session, they will learn how to make esparto grass rope and create a hanging planter.

The workshop will be led by Al Fresco-Museos Efímeros and forms part of the celebrations for the European Artistic Crafts Days and Museum Day.
