Yesterday we welcomed to Nuevo Baztán the Director General for Culture and Creative Industries, Mr Manuel Lagos Gismero, accompanied by the Deputy Director of Fine Arts, Asunción Cardona, and a technician from the regional department. The delegation toured the municipality’s main cultural and tourist spaces, such as the Interpretation Centre, the Tourist Office, the Palace and the exhibition halls.

Mayor Gemma Pacheco welcomed them and conveyed the Town Council’s commitment to cultural promotion, calling for joint efforts to enrich the Palace’s content and to move forward with the Municipal Library project, with the intention of locating it within the Historic Complex. They also visited the exhibition currently occupying one of the Palace halls and spoke with painter Antonio Español.

Our municipality maintains close collaboration with this Directorate General, actively participating in programmes such as Summer Cinema, Vermut Sessions and Classics in Summer, among others.
