In 1720, the factory for fine crystal and glass was founded in Nuevo Baztán, where important master craftsmen trained and would later work at the Royal Glass Factory of La Granja. 

The Interpretation Centre of Nuevo Baztán is proposing a series of activities aimed at adult audiences about glassblowing. They will be led by master craftsmen from the Royal Glass Factory of La Granja. They will give participants the opportunity to get started in different techniques such as blowing, jewellery-making or modelling recycled glass. 

These are the workshops reminder and dates. They will take place from 11:00 to 14:00. 

• Saturday 8 March. Educational workshop on centrifugal glassblowing .Registrations from 20 February. POSTPONED TO 22 MARCH
• Saturday 13 September. Educational workshop: coloured paperweights. Registrations from 19 August.
• Saturday 8 November. Educational workshop: hot glassblowing with added pieces . Registrations from 9 October.

Advance booking is required by email at cinbaztan@madrid.org, indicating the number of participants and contact details, or by phone on 686 941 217 during the Interpretation Centre opening hours (Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00–18:00). These workshops are for ages 12 and up. It is a free activity held at the Juan de Goyeneche Palace. 

An exhibition for Museum Night has also been scheduled: 

• Saturday 17 May. Museum Night. Night-time educational workshop: glass and light. No advance registration is required. Time: from 21:00.
