The Interpretation Centre of Nuevo Baztán offers a new series of themed workshops in 2025 about the industries established in our municipality. With these new proposals, visitors will be able to learn first-hand about the trades of the period and put them into practice in an enjoyable and fun way. 

The installation of factories at the beginning of the 18th century in Spain responded to the drive for reindustrialisation and repopulation that emerged after the War of the Spanish Succession. Don Juan de Goyeneche founded in Nuevo Baztán a true complex that housed both the factory facilities and the workers’ homes. Here, textiles, perfumes, bookbinding and dyes were produced. These are some of the industries that family audiences will be able to discover, creating their own pieces through hands-on activities. 

These workshops are organised by the Subdirectorate General for Fine Arts and the Directorate General for Culture and Creative Industries, which belong to the Regional Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport. The Nuevo Baztán Town Council collaborates.
