Nuevo Baztán will be at FITUR 2026

20 January 2026

The Nuevo Baztán Town Council will once again be present at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), held at IFEMA from this Wednesday and open until Sunday 25 January, consolidating itself as one of the main tourism showcases at national and international level.

The municipality’s participation in FITUR 2026 is part of the development of the Tourism Sustainability Plan at Destination (PSTD), through which €2 million is being invested to move towards a tourism model that is responsible, sustainable and aligned with local identity.

During the fair, Nuevo Baztán will present important strategic projects, including the municipality’s Tourism Brand, the new Tourism Website and the new promotional video—key tools to strengthen the destination’s profile and improve the experience for visitors and tourists.

Nuevo Baztán is part of different tourism promotion networks and organisations, such as Las Villas de Madrid, the Wine RouteCiclaMadridARACOVEMadRural and the Association of The Most Beautiful Villages in Spain, which allows the municipality to work in a coordinated way and gain visibility in different areas of cultural, rural and sustainable tourism.

Throughout FITUR, these projects and lines of action will be presented in different spaces at the fair. Specifically:

  • On Thursday, from 13:00, Nuevo Baztán will be in Pavilion 9, stand 9A13, within the MadRural space.
  • On Friday and Saturday, at 12:30, the municipality will take part in Pavilion 9 stand 9A11 of the Association of The Most Beautiful Villages in Spain, where the main tourism updates will be presented.
  • On Saturday, there will also be a tasting of cocido prepared in Nuevo Baztán, showcasing local gastronomy.

As previously announced, on Saturday, 40 older residents of the municipality will visit FITUR, in an initiative organised by the Town Council to bring this tourism event closer to the public.

Across the different events and presentations, Nuevo Baztán will be represented by members of the Municipal Corporation, including the Mayor, Gemma Pacheco, reinforcing the institutional commitment to the municipality’s tourism development.

With its presence at FITUR 2026, the Nuevo Baztán Town Council continues to advance the consolidation of a sustainable, innovative tourism model with its own identity, highlighting its historical, cultural and natural heritage.
