Juan de Goyeneche Pathway (Villar del Olmo-Nuevo Baztán)

Description

This is the path that connected Nuevo Baztán with the Villa de Olmeda de la Cebolla, and which the residents of the new industrial center had to take to attend religious services in the Villa de la Olmeda. This path would become the first point of conflict between the parish priest of the Villa de la Olmeda and Juan de Goyeneche, Lord of the Olmeda, until the independence of the new enclave was finally approved.

It is a gentle path, totaling 3 km from Olmeda de las Fuentes to Nuevo Baztán, currently under restoration, where one can observe the nature of the meadows and the different landscape units, which will feature new interpretive panels about the curious relationship between the two towns.
